"Do this work" gives 211 000 results on google search (45000 for "do a work"), so maybe it's not very common in english writing IMHO...
so, my suggestion is to blow away the "so that"

- We have to find out some good methods by which we can do this work at the best advantage.

Otherwise :
- We have to find out some good methods which allow/help us to get the best advantage/results on this work.

We have to find out some good method by which we can do this work to the best advantage.

To the best advantage is an E idiom.
some good method is different from some good methods
Some good method = Cách thức tốt nào đó.
Some good methods = Một vài cách thức tốt.

Hmm, none of the above sentences reads very smoothly. The sentence would be easier to translate if there were some context. But in its absence, I suggest:

'We need to find a way to do this job to get the best results.'

'Result' is also possible here. It depends on the nature of the work to be done and on the speaker's view of it.
