compare and contrast english and vietnamese

no need to write "about" between the word contrast and english here.

Have you ever thought that speaking vietnamese is easier than Speaking english? Which language do you prefer? I am going to compare and contrast about the similarites ang differences between english and vietnamese.

Well, compare means to show the similarities and contrast means to show the differences. No need to write both phases.

you're right about "important" is an adj but "most" always go [has to go] with "the".
Besides, the parallel structure here : the last and the most important ...
the last is a noun, so the other side must be a noun, too

you're right about "important"____ is an adj but "most" always go-- [has to go] with "the".

In this case, "last" is an adverb which modifies "important", so is "most".

you're right about "important"____ is an adj but "most" always go-- [has to go] with "the".
"important" is an adj??? i don't think there is any missing here

but "most" always goes ... i forgot the "es" by some mistook

In this case, "last" is an adjective which modifies "important", so is"most".
an adj modifies another adj while there is no noun to be modified?

if it is said to omitt the article "the", then the word "important" has to be changed, too.

Her orginal sentence was: the last and the most important is pronunciation.
well, I thought she wants to say 2 seperate things. Caz according to Vdict dictionary, "Last" can be a noun. Therefore, it would make sense if she wants to say "the last and also the most importance"

However, I surrender."The last and most importance" does sound right.

Sorry for the misquote. Last and most are adverbs which modifies adjective important.

About "important", a prepositional phrase, can't be the subject of "is"!!! It seems that we need a relative pronoun (which or that) there.
    Does this make sense?

I believe that we definitely need a noun or a noun phrase here.

okay, if it goes as you said, "last" and "most" are to be there in that sentence in order to modify adjective "important", then I would think that sentence is incorrect! just as her own original sentence:
The last and the most important is pronunciation

So what is the point of making corrections here?

I would agree with Mr.Nguyen that sentence would better be : You're right that the word "important" is an adjective.
    Clear now?

and for the "mistook" mistake, if it isn't "mistook", then it is "mistake", isn't?
Truthfully, I don't got the use of these two. I thought the sentence is in the past tense; therefore, every word should be in past tense, too

There are many ways to correct this mistake while still keep the meaning the same. English is varies as well as vietnamese is.

The last and the most are adverbs (by Paddy) that modify important (adj.), an attribute of a noun (as it is supposed to be.) But I can't find a noun here. It is missing, in another word!!!
So the point of correcting this sentence is to add a noun right after the adjective "important." It will function as a subject of "is."

No hard time, we just help each other learn. At the meantime, we don't change the original statement at all.
