    Default Blinkered?

Hello, Please help me out here.

For this thoughtful but somewhat blinkered audience...

What does ''blinkered'' mean literally in this sentence?

Any reply/help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Default Blinkered

The expression blinkered is derived from horses. Some horses are afraid of what they see behind and next to them so they wear blinkers. Blinkers restrict vision. So if an audience is blinkered, it means that they have a narrow perspective or an inability or desire to see the whole perspective.

    I hope that is helpful.
