    I made a mistke on past tense of "lie" which mean nam but the usage is still correct. The text you copied from dictionary.com supports what i said.

    The below should clear up everything:

    Lie = nằm:

    Lie - present
    Lay - past
    Lain - past participle
    Lying - present progressive.

    Vi du:

    He lay under a tree to sleep. - Anh ta (đã) nam ngu duoi mot cai cay.

    The book lies on the table. - Quyen sach nam tren ban. ( noi ma no thuong nam hang ngay)

    --------------------------------------------------------
    "Lay" = đặt:

    Lay - present
    Laid - past
    Lain - Past participle
    Laying - present progressive

    I laid her down gentlely. = Toi nhe nhang dat co ay nam xuong.

    ------------------------------------------------------
    "Lie" = Nói dối

    Lie - present
    Lied - past
    Lied - Past participle
    lying - present progressive

    Vi du:
    My husband lies to me everyday = chong noi ngay nao cung noi doi toi ca.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    "Lay" = Đẽ

    Lay - present
    Laid - past
    Lain - past participle
    Laying - present progressive

    The bird laid an egg. - con chim do de mot qua trung

    The chicken are laying eggs. Nhung con dang trong thoi ky de trung.

    Tớ vẫn đang đọc cuốn Legends, Lore, Lies: A Skeptic's Stance, trong đó nó có nói về "Pseudoscience" và "Science".
    "Pseudoscience" dịch là "Khoa Học Giả Tuởng" đuợc ko ạ? Vì nó khác với "Khoa Học" là nó chưa có chứng minh đuợc những cái nó đưa ra.

    *humble: showing that u dont think that u are as important as other people
    *honest: always telling the truth and never stealing or cheating
    ->honest: showing an honest mind or attitude

    My choice is "humble" and its syn is "modest"

    Aha.. it's my carelessness cuz i thought u had asked for distingushing between "humble" and "honest" =.=
    I think "humble" and "modest" have the meaning "khiêm tốn" but it's more frequently to use "modest" cuz "humble" is more often used to discrible sth that has equal or lower quality than others
