hoặc vào tiệm sách tìm mua Tự Điển Anh-Anh có CD trong ấy thí dụ như:
American Heritage talking Dictionary.
Máy cầm tay chỉ phí tiền thôi, không ích lợi gì cả!
Thường thì người ta không kiên nhẩn lắng tai máy để tự sửa mình....
Mà nếu ai giúp muốn sửa cho mình thì giận, tự ái, phát âm thì mắc cỡ....
Do I?; Do you?; Does she?; Did I?; Did you?; Did She?....Bà già, ông già nghe cũng phải giưt minh!!!
Sinh viên từ VN ra ngoại quốc nói tiếng Anh như "đi chợ " rất là "mõi tay" (!!!) dù là băng cấp rất cao!
Nếu bạn ở ngoại quốc, nghe TV hàng ngày, tiếp xúc hàng ngày thì không bao lâu bạn sẽ OK. Còn nếu ban còn ở VN thì bạn phải tự học tự sửa, chú ý phiên âm QT môt cách cẩn thận.... vừa lắng nghe pronunciation của máy Vi Tính......rội đi tìm ngươi ngoại quốc mà thí nghiêm thử xem bạn giỏi cở nào....Nếu nói mà nó nghe nỗi thì mình nói tiếp, nếu không thì mình BYE.
Biết đâu vài năm sau bạn đi du học sẽ găp những tên quen thuôc trên forum này.

Dường như , những người được sinh ra và lớn lên (khoảng tới 15 tuổi ) ở Việt Nam và sau đó qua Mĩ sửa pronounce hơi khó và rất khó (tùy theo lứa tuổi ) . Lý do là vì ngay tại trường học thì họ đã không có những giờ học để dạy phát âm 1 cách đúng nghĩa , đôi khi có giờ ngoại khóa thì giáo viên dạy còn sai cách phát âm ... Vì thế ,những du học sinh dù đã có kiến thức tiếng Anh tại Việt Nam thì qua Mĩ vẫn phải sử dụng động từ " to WƠ " ... còn 1 lý do nữa chắc là do người Việt Nam mình ăn nước mắm khiếp quá bi giờ lưỡi cứng ==> không uống nổi , nói có mấy từ mà lưỡi muốn tọt vào họng ^^

That's pretty funny, but true. Mostly people with their late teens have hard time in pronunciation. Girls have less problem than boys. But as for fishsauce, that requires some knowledge in biology to make a scientific conclusion.

But here is my translation for you, just for kick.

It appears that Vietnamese newcomers, who are 16 years of age or older when they come to US, have hard time pronouncing English words correctly. One of the reasons is that they did not have proper practice in pronunciation while studying English back in Vietnam. In addtion to that, their teachers sometime mispronounced the words and passed that mistake onto the students. This is the primary reason why most of foreign students (from Vietnam) have to resort to hand signal as means of communication when all esle have failed.
But the reason for mispronunciation that most Vietnamese believe, thus far, is fishsauce. With high salt content, the fishsauce had hardened the tounges of the Vietnamese for generations. Learning to pronounce tounge-twisting English words is a very tough challenge for tounge-hardened Vietnamese, especially for those whose tounges have been treated in fishsauce for 16 or more years. This can literally snap the tounge in half.

This is my addtion:
However, there is a cure for fishsauce-hardened tounges. It is Coca-cola. With high concentration of caramel, a chemical which had been proven to neutralize salt-treated material, Coca-cola can reverse the effect of fishsauce. It is estimated that Vietnamese students drink on average three cans of Coca-Cola per day. This explains why Vietnamese students improve their pronunciation drastically after a short time in the US.

According to Paddy and his source: If you drink three cans of Coke a day will helped with your pronunciation. If this is true then "Houston we have a problem". Coke has one of the highest (free) simple surgar than any other soft drinks ( one can can range from 39g to 41g of sugar). Our body needs approximately 48gram of simple sugar a day (I didn't include other sugar intake throughout a day such as cake, candy,ice-cream, etc...), do the math. In a few years you might speak English a little bit better but in the long run you'll end up with diabetes(tiểu đừơng) , high blood pressure (cao áp xuất huyết), rotten teeth (hư răng), etc..... Just a little fun facts.
