"I never can tell with you" có nghĩa là " Tôi không bao giờ có thể thổ lộ hay tâm sự với bạn" ( có thể vì bạn không fải là người thích hợp, nhưng với người khác thì có thể )

Còn câu "I never can tell you" có nghĩa là " Tôi không bao giờ có thể nói cho bạn nghe" nhưng ko có hàm ý gì khác.

FYI - "I never can tell you" SHOULD BE "Tôi không bao giờ có thể thổ lộ hay tâm sự với bạn" not the other way around.

Never heard of "never can + verb". Why don't you make matters simple by saying "I can never + verb"?

Languages are not meant to make simpler.

There is debate on how "never can tell" and "can never tell" by a lot of linguists. Some experts believe that:

can never tell: used to express doubts or surprise

never can tell: not ever, not at all.

I intended to stand by my original postion on this matter, now I'm not sure. I'll talk to my old English professor in college and I'll let you all know

"You never can tell" is only used in isolation and means "One can never tell" but in English One is rarely used as it sounds pretentious. There is a lot of stress on 'never' when spoken.

"You can never tell whether/if........"
