I understand "haggling" but I got ripped off by a taxi driver and a restaurant. No kidding but I will never come back to HN. Ha Long Bay was beautiful but the service was horrible.
"Ripped off" means you got cheated.

"Ripped off" is US slang. For example: minh mua mot vat khong dang gia voi so tien lon thi minh noi la "I got ripped off"

1st Version:
Anyone who teaches me one word - even half a word - is still my teacher.
2nd Version:
Even he who teaches me the smallest bit can still be called my teacher
Please correct my grammar as you see fit. Much appreciated!
Ripped off = bi lua dao
2 pinkypig: YES! I received the Rosseta Stone CD for free (my friend burned me a copy). As you may know, they are VERY expensive ($495. USD). Have you used RS before? If so, what is your impression as a (learning a new) language tool?
I thought you can't use copy Cd for RS. I wanted to learn Spanish but the RS was so expensive. Hmm... I need to find someone who has Spanish RS now. I haven't used them yet but I saw several good reviews about them. If you need help in learning Vnese just send me a message.
hey pinkypig! the RS copy i have also has spanish, arabic, chinese mandarin, english, french, hindi, japanese, korean, vietnamese, and portuguese it is not the FULL versions of RS, but lessons # 1 & 2 (which is a lot!) you are right, you are not supposed to be able to burn a copy, but my buddy has his ways;-) <hihi> i have not tried to burn a copy from my copy (yet), but should be able to do so...and if i am successful, will be more than happy to share!
