    Hi all,

Is this sentence: đôi môi đỏ tự nhiên

    translated as:
    1. naturally red lips, or
    2. natural, red lips?

in the same vein, how would i translate into vietnamese:
    1. an annoyingly talented person
    2. an annoying, talented person? (ignoring the word 'but' in between).

    thanks for your help.

    Chào bạn,

Cái câu: đôi môi đỏ tự nhiên

    nên dịch bằng:
    1. naturally red lips, hay
    2. natural, red lips?

Theo quan niệm giống nhau, làm sao dịch qua tiếng việt:
    1. an annoyingly talented person
    2. an annoying, talented person? (phớt lờ chữ 'but' ở giữa).

    cám ơn bạn trước,
    huỳnh

Nguyên tắc cũng khá đơn giàn. Nên hiểu rõ chử nào bổ túc chữ nào. Tính từ bổ túc cho danh từ. Trạng từ bổ túc cho tính từ.

    1. naturally red lips: môi mầu đỏ tự nhiên
    2. natural, red lips? Môi đỏ (và) tự nhiên

    1. an annoyingly talented person: người tài giỏi đến mức làm mọi người khó chịu
    2. an annoying but talented person? Người tài giỏi nhưng tính tình khó chịu

I think "naturally red lips" is more correct because "natural lips" (môi tự nhiên) doesn't really make sense. Therefore the "tự nhiên" should support "đỏ" instead of support "môi"; hence, (naturally red) lips.

As for annoyingly talented or annoying, talented. Both are correct, it just depends on what you want to convey. "The person is both annoying and talented" or "The person is talented and that fact is annoying". In this case, both are correct because annoying can support both talented and person meaningfully.
