When I practiced spelling english words. First I listened and then repeated but I found that it's very hard to distinguish between /a:/ (np in "father") and /ae/ (np in "cat")
So can someone help me?
Much thx

/a/ = a (tiếng Việt)
/ae/ = e (tiếng Việt)
Vào online dictionary, tìm "icon" giống như cái loa, bấm chuột, lắng tai nghe mỗi chữ 10 lần và tập phát âm theo...., rồi đi tìm em phát âm cho em nghe.

Are you kidding? You wrote English very well here...; I have no doubt about your pronunciation at all.

This isnt right. /ae/ isn't pronuonced equally to e in vnese... It equals to a..
The point is that when u listen to a dialog at speed, it's much harder for u to find out which word has been pronuonced /a/ and which one as /ae/. As a result u wont be able to repeat correctly without looking at the original text cuz u dont know exactly what u have heard
p/s: Learning E, we all have our own problems. So I am..
I don't remember but I have posted somewhere herein that a, e, i, o and u are pronounced the same
