Help with Northern dialect

I am doing business in Ha Noi and trying to learn the language. Do you think it is important to speak in the northern dialect if doing business in the north?

Also, would welcome any cultural advise.

The accent of Hanoi people considered to be the standard Vietnamese which is equivalent to Oxford accent in England. However It is always up to personal preference of your bisiness counterparts. I am from central of Vietnam, I personally prefer the accent of Southerners. Mind you we don't have dialects, we have different accents.
