I wish I could capture you
你像雾一样散开
But you vanish away like the fog
到处都是你化作的精灵
I feel the presence of your spirit in everything
当我张开臂膀
When I open my arms
漫天飘着洁白的雪花
The sky showers white snowflakes on me
一片落在脸上
Some fall on my face
一片落在唇边
Some fall on my lips
我以为你动了心
I thought it was your emotion
雪花却融化成了水滴
But then snowflakes melt into waterdrops
我以为你哭了
I thought you were crying
水滴却蒸发成了空气
But waterdrops evaporate in the air
我只能徘徊
Nothing I can do but
等待那些精灵合成你
Wait until those reflections of your spirit become you again

花瓣却已经随风成雨
But the petals fly away with the wind and turn into raindrops
我以为你哭了
I thought you were crying
雨滴却汇成了一条小溪
But raindrops gather into a small stream

All I can do is wait
等待那些雨合成你
Until the rain becomes you again

The first time I ever read this poem I felt sadness and serenity at the same time. Poetry has this magic power. Words can give pain, but they can also give comfort

Loving someone isn't easy, saying goodbye is even harder. Life just happens. Love happens. But even after we've said goodbye, true love stays in our hearts and makes us feel we can live forever. I am really happy to know that the poem made you feel this way, Tanyenbai.

Too bad you can't read Chinese, because you surely know that poetry is difficult to translate.
Sorry, but your friend is wrong here.

想 means want,wish
动情 is a a verb+noun phrase, 'move the feeling' and it means fall in love, or better when feelings are aroused, excited, but in a romantic way

You can also try Google, it says:
我想抓住你 = I would like to seize your
and if you type 你 (you) just below it says:
I would like to seize the You ()

Anyway, in my case, there's no HOPE, I can only WISH, just like the poem says.
