    Question Vietnamese Citizenship and the Military

    Anyone know if an American can renounce their citizenship and join the Vietnamese Military?

    Just wondering if the rules are similar for Vietnamese government.

    nope, you can't get Vietnamese citizenship unless one of your parents is a Viet citizen
    and you have to be a citizen to join the army
