Prepositions of time?

I am trying to learn the prepositions of time. I was told, that you use fx. "sau", "truoc" "trong" before a noun or a clause and "sau khi" ,"truoc khi", "trong khi"before a verb.
I have tried to put the word into this lesson. Would you tell me, if this is right or totally wrong?

Yes, it is hard! In this sentence nr.3 it is "sau khi "because "ho an trua xong" is a clause and i shall not think at just the word "ho" which is a noun. Is that right?.Nguoi Viet Nam thuong ngu mot luc ... sau khi ho an trua xong.

yes, "sau khi" + clause (S+V), but sometime you can see "sau khi" + V, that's because the Subject is omitted for short. In your example, the word "ho" means "they", a pronoun replace for "nguoi Viet Nam"

Thanks a lot.You explain the grammar and sentence building excellent! I like some kind of "frames".In Vietnamese it is so difficult, bacause the language has so many words, that only seems to mean something, when you put them together in different ways. In the beginning I was getting crazy of looking up single words in a dictionary-it did not help at all.
But looking up the different letters and finding the tone markers is a really big job. I think I am slowly starting to remember some very common.
I first try to write by heart, how I think they would sound and then afterwords check in the dictonary. It is a hard work-takes time.
I have made another lesson, that I got trough email without accents, and tried to make it with dau.
This one is with using the modal verbs and the prepositions of time, as you have been teaching me here.
Do you have time to take a look? And please say, if I am taking up too much time and room!

Be careful! If you buy "banh Pho" in Chinese shops. They may use a little "formon" to preseve longer. As you know, going into your body, formon causes cancer!.

How cheap is cheap! Dont buy the white rice noodle at Chinese stores. Go Vietnamese stores and buy it. You should ask for the flat white rice noodle because that's what Vietnamese people use in Vietnam. In case that they dont carry any of the flat white rice noodle, I dont know what to recommend . However you should choose the fresh noodles, which you deep it in cool water first before you cook, dont buy the dried one.
