I agree with you. This is 21 reasons for difficulties in dealing with belle-lettre scholars. Some teachers (usually bad teachers) often quote these confusions to threaten the students, simply to show that they are good teachers. I got one teacher of Russian who drove his students in a mess of ridles. I failed learning Russian.
