Mr.Pike wants to sell his donkey. in one day, he and his son went to the market in the city, they walked beside their donkey. Some people saw them and said : "They're stupid, the street is too long and one of them should ride their donkey". Mr Pike heard that and permited his son ride the donkey.
Next, they met some farmers, they said that Mr.Pike made his son become lazy. He accepted that opinion and decided to ride donkey instead of the son.
On the way, he met some ladies. "He is heartless, why he can let his son walks on the road tiredly" -- ladies said, heard that, he told his son to sit behind him.
When they passed a field, the cowherds said that they have been using the poor donkey's energy, so they can't sell the donkey for high price. Then, Mr. Pike decided tied donkey's legs and carried on his shoulder. He looked so funny .
He didn't think by himeself but he just followed everyone's advices.A bad fact was happened. The donkey felt uncomfortable and struggled when they passing a bridge. Suddenly, the rope was loose, the donkey falt down into the river and died.
Mr Pike and his son came back home in the bad mood but they get more experience. They realized when they try to please everyone, they can't please anyone. Worse than ever, they lost their valuable property.

The wording should be, he decided to ride the donkey himself instead of his son.
