There are so many Vietnamese centres that teach English for the foreigners in HoChiMinh. You also search it in internet(but I am not sure you will find a good one) or reading Tuoitre newspaper. Maybe you can find a good private teacher there
Haven't you known anyone in Vietnam before??? Personally, Vietnamese alphebet is very important. You should begin with it first. Then you can buy an English-Vietnamese or a Vietnamese-English dictionary. You are living in Vietnam so it is easy to talk with Vietnamese. The pronunciation will be improved quickly. But Vietnamese is very "deep"

maybe you can make friends with some Vietnameses and learn by talking with them in Vietnamese. I think it's a very good way to learn any language. Anyway, where are you from?

Try the Pimsleur method. It helps you get started and correct mistakes in pronunciation. You can search for it online - Simon and Schuster sells a good course based on this principle.
