    I am having difficulty understanding "sao".

    When used at the beginning of a sentence, is it always a question, asking "why"?

    Does "sao ma" have a particular meaning?

    What is the meaning when used as the final word of a sentence?

    What are some common uses when in the middle of a sentence and the meaning is "why"?

    You can see that I need lots of help with the Vietnamese language!

    I can give you some examples:
    1. "Sao hom nay anh khong an toi ?"
    - Why didn't you eat dinner today?
    2. "Anh khong an toi sao ?"
    - Don't you eat dinner ?
