Usually people translate "happy" in = vui (Ex: Im so happy because I aced my test /// Tôi vui quá vì tao làm kiểm tra được điểm A). However, your translation is just fine!

"Lành" goes with different words will give different meanings
Ex:
"an lành" --- Merry Christmas /// Giáng Sinh an lành
"tốt lành" --- Have a nice, happy day! /// Chúc 1 ngày tốt lành
"lành lặn" (not be used a lot)= "bình an" (used a lot)= "safe" --- Have a safe trip /// Đi đường bình an
"lành" = "healed" --- the wound is healed /// vết thương đã lành

Haha...it is very hard but I will keep trying. Today's words:

-chôn vùi- overwhelmed; việc học/học tập- studies; Tôi bị chôn vùi với việc học. (I am overwhelmed with school work.)

-chính trị- politics; Tôi căm hờn mấy chính trị của cái họi sinh viên. (I hate the politics of the student association.)

-đấu tranh- to fight; Tôi muốn đấu tranh tằng đó. (I want to fight that dude.); I mean this in a derogatory way. Therefore I use thằng

-tình trạng hỗn độn- mess; Tôi ao ước xong với cái tình trạng hỗn độn nầy làm song. (I can't wait for this mess to be over.)
