Yo brother, I'm also a Chinese from Singapore. My Vietnamese girlfriend from Long An province, just next to HCM. I'll be visiting her late Feb after the Chinese New Year.

Just like you, thinking of what gift I should bring along for her mum. I guess our local delight, the BBQ pork, should be nice enough

I presume Vietnamese, like us, take pork, don't they

I'm chinese but my girlfriend is vietnamese. She's asking me to go back with her to HCM to visit her mum and siblings for Tet.

What customs should I observe? What should i do, or bring, or buy, as a gesture of respect for the mum and brothers/sisters?

She tells me that I don't need to do/know anything, that just going is good enough, but of course, I want to impress her.

I would appreciate some help, as the internet search like Google or Wikipedia doesn't really help in detailing the native customs.

    Cam on rat nhieu!

Try again! May be, you made some mistakes in following the method. I have confidence in usefulness of the method. Because I used it

    Good luck!
