    I consider we have dialects because besides dan toc Kinh, we also have other minority groups. However, they are not popular.

    Kinh's people ... north, central and south.... dialects from them. speaking the same language but some words are different from this region to other one....

    Enlighten me Pinkypig, which ethenic communities speak the so called "dialect", can you name one or two?

    Cai gu`i do you know what it is?
    Gia` la`ng v.v...
    I also agree with fija about north, south, and middle dai
    For example:
    Cai muo^~ng
    Cai thi`a
    cai ba/t
    cai che/n
    same object different name

    In modest life, I often meet people from different locals and I learn a lot from them. Dialects methought in very popular in lower class of society. If you think they are not, I'm sure you belong to upper class.

    I think you misunderstand my use of the word "popular"
    I meant to say that they are not as common as Kinh. And when I said "minority" I meant "dan toc thieu so"
    I never intended to belittle anyone.
