    Actually Chiefsmoke, it's ok to write 'Me'. You can use this as a short form of 'It's me.' It's all right in an informal, especially spoken, context.

    For example:

    Q: Who's there?
    A: It's me./Me.


    But don't overuse it or you will get 'Tarzan syndrome':

    Me Tarzan, you Jane.

    That's not correct. If you want to introduce yourself in this way, you must say:

    I'm Tarzan and you are Jane.

    But Tarzan was brought up in a jungle so we must cut him some slack!


    I, named James Bond, aka 007.


    This is not correct. You would say either:

    My name is James Bond, aka 007.

    or

    I'm James Bond, aka 007.

    In fact, in the films he says:

    The name's Bond; James Bond.

    but I wouldn't imitate this if I were you. It sounds pretentious, and native speakers only say their name this way as a joke.
