If you stress the PURPOSE and the ACTION: I like to eat dog meat for the enjoyment of it. Or: I like to cook for my husband.
If you stress just the FACT: I like eating dog meat with herbs.

However, in America, during normal conversation "I like dog meat" is sufficient. Meat is to be eaten is understood.
You would say: I like Phở . No one says: I like eating Phở -- unless you are a foreigner or you want to stress it purposely

Vietnamese speakers tend to think in Vietnamese then translate to English: Anh có thích thit chó không? Ừ, thích. ( không ai nói: Ừ, thích nó)
