I see myself as a snail, always curled up and withdrawn inside her little cramped protective shell. This tiny snail, however, has always had beautiful dreams. Ever since she was a tottering baby, this little snail already wished that she would become a teacher. At three years old, she even pretended to be a teacher and used her grandparents, parents, oldest brother, and little baby sister still in her crib as students. ('the using possessive pronoun 'her' here is not clear because this sentence has more than one person. I would rewrite it as '...and littler sister whose still in crib as students')

    Dethuong,
    Pay attention!!!
Câu này perfect.....Coi chừng trâu lành làm thành trâu què đó.
    Chữ đó là possessive adj.!!!

Ý tớ là cái chữ "her" màu đỏ ấy.

    1st Version:
Anyone who teaches me one word - even half a word - is still my teacher.
    2nd Version:
Even he who teaches me the smallest bit can still be called my teacher

Please correct my grammar as you see fit. Much appreciated!

Jonathan and his son often walked on the beach and talked about his ups and downs in every day life.

Jonathan and his son: subject of "walked and talked."

His ups and downs: (Jonathan 's) ups and downs.

    That could be written:
Jonathan and his son often walked on the beach and talked about Jonathan's ups and downs in every day life[COLOR="darkred"

    Up (n[/COLOR]
    )
    n.

    1. An upward slope; a rise.
    2. An upward movement or trend.
    3. Slang A feeling of excitement or euphoria.

    Down (n)
    n.

    1. A downward movement; descent.
    2. Football Any of a series of four plays during which a team must advance at least ten yards to retain possession of the ball.

ups and downs in every day life cái này nên dịch là những thăng trầm của đời sống (cuộc đời nghe hay nhưng không sát nghĩa lắm).

Yea! To correct it sentence we have to substitute "Jonathan's" for the second "his." I will scan and post the page where this sentence located. And this sentence is considered wrong using pronoun. It's 2:00 am now, I cannot scan right now.
