Hi everyone,

I'm always baffled by vietnamese name in which i do not know the first or the last name is their family name (surname)? Whenever i meet vietnamese, i do not which name to address them as in Mr or Ms....

Example : Le Thanh Thang, I should address him as Mr Le or Mr Thang or Mr Le Thanh Thang? Can someone please advise. thanks.

Hope it could help!
As your example: Le Thanh Thang ( Le : Family name; Thanh: Middle name; Thang: First name).
Consequently, you should address him Mr.Thang less informal, Mr.Le Thanh Thang -very formal.
