Show us the whole sentence. It will be easier to translate.

To atomize is to reduce to atoms or to reduce to fine particles or spray.

There is a process in painting (cars, machines) call preatomization, which I think the paint is pre-atomized before leaving the nozzle, because the nozzle also atomizes the paint. This will result in a finer mist of paint.

    This is the whole sentences:
" Aerosols of Mycoplasma pneumoniae was studied at serveral relative humidities at a control temperature of 27 'c. Production of experimentally reproducible aerosl required "preatomization" of organism in its suspending fluid and depent on the type of fluid used in atomization as well as on the procedures used to product an aerosol."
My major is Veternarian, for a week I have to prepare a saminar. May be that is a key word, it is important so i want to know its meaning.Thank for helping me!

after reading your explaning i think it true but this case it is use for "bacteria" not for "painting". Do you agree with me?

Yes, the process requires preatomization of organism in its suspending liquid.
