    Default Reading Vietnamese Characters

    Hello,

A friend living in Vietnam sent me their postal address by email, but all I received was gibberish, actually less than gibberish (e.g. X· héi vµ Nh©n v¨n Hµ Néi.) - really just garbage. I tried changing the character encoding to Vietnamese (TCVN, VPS, VISCII, and Windows 1258), but that didn't help. Could someone please tell me how to read this on my computer, or does my friend have to send it using some different encoding.

    Thanks

    Step 1:
Download this file and install to your computer
    http://www.echip.com.vn/echiproot/weblh/andi/fontvn.exe

Once the installation have done, go to step 2.

    Step 2:
Open the document which received from your friend, try to change the document's font to font name VNI-times, if its still likes "garbage", let try to change to VnTime font.

    Hope all clear.
