Anyone who teaches me one word - even half a word - is still my teacher.
    2nd Version:
Even he who teaches me the smallest bit can still be called my teacher

This is not a part of my homework, but it was what I did in class this morning. We got together in group of 2 or 3. Then anybody read his/her paper out loud so anyone in group could hear and make comment. In my turn, I did not know how to read 1980s which was in sentence 'The movie was set in the 1980s'.

Can someone teach me how to read this?

"in" and "during" go together? I think "during" should be eliminated ?

The previous poster suggested to substitute "during" for "in", not to use both. However, "in the eighties" is correct. Cheers.

Hello everyone! I had not logged in for a week because I had been quite busy with work and school. I have a project from my English composition and reading I. This is my first project, so I dont know how to do it. I would appreciate anyone who give me some advice. Thank you so much!

    Here is the instruction:

Learning how to write an effective academic essay is the main focus of this class, but I believe we also need to explore and value our creativity! You will be doing a creative project based on the outside novel you are currently reading. Your project can take any form (except an academic essay), but it must include both a summary and analysis of novel.

The following are some examples of possible projects:
-A journal written from the point of veiw of one of the characters
-A painting, sculpture, or other artistic work
-A new paper from a town in the novel.
-A series os songs or poems relating to the novel
    ...

...You must be able to turn in your project for grading (ex. If you do community service as an aspect of your project, you must also have a part that is turn in like a journal, pictures, poster, etc.)

You will present your project to the class at the end of the semester.
(You must have your project proposal approved before beginning work on your project)

By the way, I dont what "project proposal" is. Could someone explain for me please?

    Thank you!
