    Hi

    Do u know What does "dấu" ("Kí hiệu của chữ quốc ngữ để chỉ các thanh khác nhau: Dấu huyền") mean in Eng?

    Last time, I heard an indian gal said "Tilt". Not sure she' right or not.

    "Dấu" is diacritic in english

    Yes, that's the common term people use when they don't know what the actual term is. I sometimes use "accent mark" when trying to explain it to Non-Vietnamese because it is easier for them to understand than "diacritics". The following sentence was also written on other Wikipedia sites regarding Vietnamese:

    The Vietnamese writing system in use today is an adapted version of the Latin alphabet, with additional diacritics for tones and certain letters.

    "diacritics" is a high level. people would harly use it. I would prefer to use "accent mark"
