-To determine the total sum of the angles for figures with more than 3 sides , we must first determine how many diagonals the figure has . The diagonal cuts the square into 2 separate triangles. Since each since each triangle is equal to 180 , then the total sum of a square's angles is exactly 2*180 or 360 . Since the square has 4 angles , each angle is 360/4 = 90 . this process can be competed for all two-dimensional figures .
