The place I always remember with affection is the house where I was born, and spent my childhood.
It stand in the middle of a rather large area surrounded with green bamboo-hedges. In front of it, is a yard where is also a store-place for the rice crop in harvest time. Next ti the yard, is a pond where the washing is done. Its water ie kept cool all day long , thanks to the shady tress with overhanging leafy branches around it. Not far from there, is a beautifull garden full or pretty flowers and fruit-tress. It is my favorite place. In the afternoon, I uses to run merrily along its flower-bordered walks, chasing gorgeous butterflies or catching shining beetles. In doing so, I sometimes trod on a flowering plant, and was scolded by my mother for being so careless. At the corner of the garden, there is a small arbour with a seat where I spent much time reading some fairy tales or doing my homework. Behind the house, is another garden where grow various kinds of vegetables.
The house itself is only a small cottage. It consists of there rooms. The middle-room is the most nicely furnished with a table, four chairs and a mahogany diven. We eat anh receive the visitors there. It is also a room witnessing the sweet gatherings of my family on the winter-evenings when is rains out-side. Far back at the wall, is set up an altar for the cult of the ancestors. On the left is the sleeping-room, a place crowded with beds and a wardrobe. On the right is a lumber-room where all sorts of things are kept. As for the kitchine and toilet-room, they are all in an annexe not far from the main dwelling.
That is my house. Though it is only a humble cottage, I still love it very much and always long to return to it because it is a place where I had the happiest memories of my life.

DETAILED PLAN
Introduction
Every season has its own charms and attractions. Some like Spring because it is the season of flowers and colors: others prefre Autumn because its weather is ideal, so to speak. Some other love Winter with its particular scenes. But as far as I am concerned, I prefer Summer.
Body of the essay
I. – Every season has its charms
Spring is a very nice season indeed. Many poets have sung its beauties. After the long Winter-days when everything in the country is dull and quite, how pleasant it is to see nature awaakening form her long sleep ! Every tree grows green again. The meadows are sprinkled all over with pretty flowers.
Autumn comes putting on nature a gorgeous coat of colors. The weather is neither too cold, nor too hot. It is a pleasant thing when we walk through the woods, ankle-deep in the rus-set rustling dead leaves.
Winter has it own attraction too. How delightful it is for the whole family to gather in a cosy room in the Winter evening when outside is rains pesistently and the cold wind howls in the trees !
II. – My preference
Although other season have their own charms and because I still prefer Summer. Here are the season of my preference:
1. Because Summer offers more p;easures anf entertainments than any other season. Most outdoor games and sports are organized in Summer. Summer is an ideal time for the holiday-makers : picnic, camping, swimming, angling…..
2. Summer is the season like best not only because of its various pleasures, but especially ( I feel rather ashamed to confess it ) because of the logn holidays it gives me every year. Whenever I look through the window of the class-room, at the flame-tree whose bloodred blossoms announce the arrival of Summer, my heart beats with joy. How comfortable it is to think that the Summer vacation will get me free from hard lessons and long text-books.
3. The last reason is my personal one. Whenever Summer arrives, I have the opportunity to celebrate my birthday which falls on July 5th, and meet all the members of my family.
Conclusion:
I forget to tell that Summer reminds me of the most painful memory. I have ever had. It is in Summer that I left my parents and have not seen them for five years.

Describe your best friend. What are his qualities and faults ? Why do you like him?
Development
I know many boys from different classes in society. Among them Nam is my best friend.
Nam is handsome boy of fifteen. He is two years younger than I so I consider him as my younger brother. Though his father and brothers are all stout and fat, he is likely to be a tall man. His dark eyes are very expressive. I can read in them his most intimate feelings and secret ideas. An eaglenose gives his face an air of astuteness which is however mitigated by an ever smiling muoth. His swelling forhead is the predominant part of his square face. It conveys a rather high degree of intelligence. His unkept hair makes him an artist rather than a schoolboy. He dose not care much about dress. He always wears a short – sleeved shrit. His brown trousers do not match his carelessly made shose at all.
Nam is romantic boy. His dreamy nature leads him far form the realistic word. He usually spends the whole evening, making verses in praise of a beautiful image, or mourning over the falling Autumn leaves. Sometime, I find him weeping by himsels in his room. When I ask him the reasons the death of a character in a novel he has just read.
In spite of his sensiblity. I like him all the same. He is a real picture os sincerity anh faithfulness . He always tells me what be plans to do and asks me for advice whenever he meets with a thorny problem. During the weekends, we often organize an outing together . Lying on the soft grass, we talk about, our future plans for the next school years. Sometimes, not knowing what to do, where to go , we drop by a milk bar to enjoy the music or a hot cup of tea.
Nam is really my best friend: I like him in spite of his faults. I realize in him the deep meaning meaning of the saying : “ A friend in need is a friend indeed “
.
