    Question Maybe impossible... Please Try! Thanks!

    I would love some help translating a two word phrase or expression! I am sorry, I do not have the tonemes/diacritics! The words are:

    lan dan

    If anyone can help, I would be very grateful!

    A chequered life = Cuộc đời ba chìm bẩy nổi.

    Có câu sau " Ba chìm bẩy nổi chín cái lênh đênh" hay "Lúc lên voi lúc xuống chó"

    Có nói wall of lead thì được. Nghĩa như là bức tường [bằng] đạn (chì).

    Wave of fire: tớ không nhớ có ai dùng chưa nên không rõ (trong nghĩa của chiến trận). Ðể chừng nào tớ đọc thấy thì trả lời.
