It wasn't right to say "chào ông-hi Mr./sir" . It is "chào em- hi miss"Originally Posted by marcus

chào = hello or goodbye (depends on situation)
Agree, but in this case I don't think it was a "good bye" one. Beside, to rating between chào/hello and chào/good bye , it will be 90/10 for chào/hello againt chào/good bye, isn't it?.
