Try and avoid the verb to get. It can usually be replaced by a verb that provides a better description of the action.
I've tried to perfect the sentences for you...
I was caught red-handed while my swindling scheme was in progress; or
While my swindling scheme was in progress I was caught red-handed
A beautiful girl made my acquaintance just as I entered the forum, or

I was threatened by that girl's lover when I walked into the public meeting place; or

Now doubt about your excllent vocabulary. But actually I am still waiting for 2 English structures. Am I stubborn?
Thank you hai bác.
See here what I have found.
red handed
adj. Derived from the term "bloody-hand", which was one of four kinds of offences in the king's forest, by which the offender is supposed to have killed a deer. In Scotland, in such like crimes they say "Taken in the fact, or with the red hand".
- Thomas Blount's Law Dictionary and Glossary, 1717
In modern times, this term refers to catching someone in the act of doing something they aren't supposed to do.
Hah! I knew it was you stealing the cookies. I caught you red handed!
Thất bại lớn nhất của đời người là tự đại
Đáng thương nhất của đời người là tự ti.
Tự đại + Tự ti = thất bại đáng thương nhất
why don't we try the two following structures:
no sooner.... than...
and
hardly .... when..
Thất bại lớn nhất của đời người là tự đại
Đáng thương nhất của đời người là tự ti.
Tự đại + Tự ti = thất bại đáng thương nhất
