Help with mystery words on Rosetta Stone....

đứa trẻ con -- some sort of child but what does : đứa mean
cười mỉm -- a smile? what is : mỉm
con ngan --some bird, can't find definition anywhere?
con vật --animal??
also is the Vietnamese keyboard on the dictionary part of this site missing a whole lot of "E"s or what??? What to do?

Trẻ con (noun): child (children)
Đứa is a definite article, used in front of a noun.
Example: the baby = đứa bé
Cười mỉm: to smile ( "mỉm" tends not to show teeth...)
Cười: to laugh
Cười chế nhạo: to laugh at
Con vật, thú vật: Animal
Con ngan???

Ngan is a type of duck, typically larger than a duck but shorter. Northerns call ngan but I think Southerners call vịt xiêm (?). It looks like a duck, quacks like a duck but it is called ngan .
