    hello Iscardholderer,

as far as i am concerned it has been a challanging time for quite many people, countries, from some global companies to even just a barbershop. The impact has been tremendous and the way i see it is it has brought fear to so many different fields such as: banking, shipping, financial / capital market, real estate, laboring etc just to name a very few.

but then there are still certain fields yet to get affected for example sport, entertainment...

for me, never before that i have seen the world is so linked together like the way it is right now, import export, banking, shipping all these are related / dependable to each other in one way or another. Same is applied to all countries in the world, now that every country can feel the heat. Again it shows that no one, no country, no company or industry can operate without being impacted by the forces of the market, you cant just get rid of it. Also, i have seen how companies' policies changed from the time the economic is healthy where they just sit there and try to think of the way to spend their money like R&D, training etc to the time where cost cutting is top priority and so is having an organization with the least possible number of headcount, kind of interesting to observe though.

    Hi all

We live in critical times hard to deal with,, the the bible says in 2 Tim 3 1-5 that people would be lovers of money, the bible was written a long time ago and forsaw that these conditions would prevail,,we have not been left in the lurch, as the bible is translated into 2000 languages and vietnamese too...But things will change not under Mans rule but jehovahs rule and his government,,we dont need to worry, if we trust his word and government

    My thoughts

    Hi everyone,

I find this topic most interesting. My husband and I are a small business and the economic times have hit the industry we are in very hard. We are doing much better than others are as of yet (as we depend on the Lord). I also find the answer Andrew3 ( you sound Jehovah Witness - yes?) quite interesting. The times are amazing and we will see much worst things ahead, but our dependance must be upon the Lord for he is our rock. The Bible has outlined things that no man could ever had perdicted without the Lord guiding them. I hope all of you who read and speak Vietnamese can find a good Bible for it is our foundation to everything.
For American's in my opinion we are to focused on what the "new thing" is and what entertains us. And most of us are living beyond our means and are not concerned about the world outside of the U.S. Which is crazy since our countries (especially America) has gotten itself so depend on others for everything - electronics, cars, oils, etc. - you name it. We have gotten ourselves in a situation where other countries can threaten us with withholding goods to get us to agree to almost anything. American's also do not know how to save for crisises or be depend on self. Our family and many of our friends who are in the Lord understand what is coming are preparing the best we can to be self suffient and get out of debt. Some American's are starting to wake up, but it is to late for the Country as a whole in my opinion for things must be ushered in according to the Bible. We are trying to get back to what is iimportant familiy, friends and especially the Lord. It is going to be an exciting and scary time.
Our Government has censored our news because if you listen to talk radio it is so different than what you will hear on Fox News, ABC, NBC, etc. How is it where you are iscardholderer? My new sister-in-law has moved here from Veitnam. We are all trying to communicate but is can be a challenging. Which I love a challenge and she is a sweet person. I don't know if this opinion is okay I don't quite understand this website yet.
    Thanks for the questions.

I'm a last year student in a University ( University of Economics). It's not easy to find a good job in finance or banking ( my subject) at this time. I decide to study more and I'll have an IELTS test.
My life is changed during the financial crisis. The cost of food increased and so are petrol, drinks...
Do you think study more is a good way ?

    Hi Nguyennd

You had asked about your studys and if you should continue. This would all depend on where you live and what is needed in your area. I think any additional education can only benefit you. However, if that position is not in demand once your ready for the work force it would be wise maybe to find out what will be needed in the next 5 or 10 years. You can probably find that out from your professors or on the internet or maybe a department of state. I think if you are good at economics and there is a need for it go for all the education you can and become indispensible with the company you work for. The more you know and do the better chance you have at keeping your job. Good luck on your studys.

As I learn more about the economics of the financial crisis here in the States it has come apparent that the government had forced the banks and financial institution, to loan money to people who clearly could never afford the loans given them. It is an organized crisis to allow for the government to come in to save the day. Now the government has more power than it was ever suppose to. For instance the government was never to have power over banks and financial institutions, car production, or health care. But they have and we (the US) will pay for this through our wallets. The money our government is providing come from the citizens and most do not agree with it.

Most of us can know exactly about this crisis. It's really terrinle, guys.
    2 month more ( 3-4/2009) : jobless, bankrupt, USD/VND = 19000-20000
But there is no doubt that the policy of the Government is not clear ( may be not good).
They use 2 ways : fiscal policy and monetary policy. But Do the poor have anythings?
Please use $1 billion to help the poor- who were jobless. give them a sum of money to have a warm Tet holidays.
