    Default Baby's name

    Hi!

I'm expecting a baby girl in August and my husband and I are picking her a name at the moment (he's Vietnamese-American and I'm French-Canadian) We really like the name Lily-Ann but I'd like to know what the translation to Vietnamese would be, mostly for my mother-in-law who speaks only Vietnamese. I don't wanna ask my husband because he speaks Vietnamese but can't read or write in that language, plus it would be a surprise for him too.
Lily is a flower and Ann means 'Gracious' in Hebrew

So we can call her, Thanh Huệ or Thanh Thanh Huệ
Thất bại lớn nhất của đời người là tự đại
Đáng thương nhất của đời người là tự ti.
Tự đại + Tự ti = thất bại đáng thương nhất

chữ gracious ở trong tên có nghĩa là graceful dùng để diễn tả tướng mạo hơn là diễn tả tư cách.

Trong VDict thì graceful là có duyên, duyên dáng, yêu kiều, phong nhã, thanh nhã

    Beautiful name !
In the vietnamese language An means Safe and Sound or Pacific or Peaceful
I think Ann is written and sounds like An in vietnamese.
Therefore Lily Ann can interprete "Thanh Hue" .
Thanh has many meanings in vietnamese But two common meanings : 1. peaceful/ pacific__ 2.refined and courteous
