Một cây làm chẳng nên non , ba cây chụm lại nên hòn núi cao .

This proverb will not make sense if translated to English ( A tree can not make a moutain, 3 trees are together that make a big moutain .

But it means " One person can not do anything, but the people can make the difference "

I'm not sure about my grammar. Hope it help!
Nhất tự vi sư , bán tự vi sư
    ---
    1st Version:
Anyone who teaches me one word - even half a word - is still my teacher.
    2nd Version:
Even he who teaches me the smallest bit can still be called my teacher

Please correct my grammar as you see fit. Much appreciated!

I was tried to translate it like this: A person can't do anything, but crowded of people assemble can do everything.
Do you guys think that's correct?

Tớ thường nghe nói là "There is no I in team." Không có chữ I (tôi) trong [chữ] team (đội, nhóm) [mà chỉ có we: chúng ta thôi!].

He just meant that " there is no I in team" has the same meaning with " mot cay lam chang len non..", both heighten the unity.
