no, i'd assume that's how it was for the majority of the population since up to the...70s?.....recently, most people in Viet Nam were NOT born in an urban environment. i think around the mid 20th century over 95% of Viet Nam were illiterate and also worked in fields, it's been 50 years. i know, long time ago, but 95% is insanely high and still today most people in North Viet Nam work in the fields last i read. i don't know central and south's statistics
hey, i could be wrong, i'm never said i was right, i said i think, since so many are born in rural areas just like my father's side of the family was, and none of them know their birthdays
besides, what's the point in knowing the exact day of your birth? there really is no reason and i doubt people in rural VN really do care even if they do know it
