Default What snacks to buy to Vietnam from Singapore?

Hi, I'm Singaporean and will be going to Hanoi soon to visit my Vietnamese friend. I would like to buy some local snacks for her and her family but I have no idea what the Vietnamese would like, or if I might buy some snacks which they already have in Vietnam.

Can anyone give me some suggestions please? It has to be easy to carry, like local biscuits or the like... I am thinking of pineapple tarts but what else? Kaya? Would they already have that in Vietnam?

    Thanks!

Get some Malay treats, we don't have those in VN.

Be careful about the chocolate. At this time of year, it is very hot so the chocolate will melt. The best way is as soon as you get out of the airport, your luggage is still cool, get the chocolate out and put them in the fridge.

    1st Version:
Anyone who teaches me one word - even half a word - is still my teacher.
    2nd Version:
Even he who teaches me the smallest bit can still be called my teacher

Please correct my grammar as you see fit. Much appreciated!

Oh! snacks sold in VN are very abundant. How about a diamond ring?

Money should be brought in to buy things. You can buy almost anything you think of in vn nowadays. but we do not have syrup. but your syrup may be confiscated at the airport.
