Shared House In HCMC

Hello all,

I'm returning to VN next week (April 2nd, 2008).

I've been looking for a room in a shared house to rent for 12 months. Something in Q.1 or Q.3 would be great, though I'd consider Q.BT or Q.TB.

At this same time last year, I found a room to rent in a house in the cho Tan Dinh area on the edge of Q.1/Q.3 for less than USD300/month.

Can anyone help me find, or does anyone know of a similar room in one of these areas with rent somewhere around the same amount?

I'd appreciate any help, even if only a lead, or rumour, etc,...

While we're on the subject, does anyone know of a cheap motorbike for sale? I might even consider a looooooong-term rental agreement

BTW: Is there anyone on this forum who actually lives in HCMC...?

Hello all,

My thanks to all those who replied privately.

I've been here in HCMC for a few days now and I'm happy to report that with the help of some very friendly locals, I've managed to rent a room in a modest house in Q.TB - and I've also bought myself a nice second-hand motor bike.
