ngải ?? magic potion. It is used to make other people follow your command or fall in love with you or to harm your enemy. It is BS but some folks believe in it. It is a kind of plant, usually grown in a dark closet, cover with red cloth. In the South, ethnic Khmer believe and practice these things. I think it's "nhát" meaning shy.
It's also meaning "coward".
