    Default Restaurant translation

    i'm taking my teacher out for dinner for some Pho and i would like to show off the limited vietnamese i have and i can order everything but my only problem is that i don't know how to say "How much is the bill" and i'm afraid that i might mess it up or say the words in the wrong order so could someone help me?

    According to your post, i guess you are foreigner. In Vietnamese, we have various way for paying your bill. Here are some:
    - Hết bao nhiêu vậy cô?
    - Cho tính tiền.( a little bit impolite)
    Or directly for what you ordered: " 2 tô phở hết bao nhiêu vậy cô?"

    what if the server or cashier was a male? You wouldn't say "cô" as that is only used to address females. The simplest way to ask for the bill is: "Làm ơn tính tiền" and it would not be impolite because this is the equivalent of saying "Please calculate the bill"
